A little info bout my name
School's Out by Scott Andrews

School's out
Author: Scott Andrews
Series: The Afterblight cronicles
Mass Market Paperback: 320 pages
Publisher: Abaddon Books (Rebellion) (21 Sep 2007)
Language English
Review:
First of all let me say that I think my local library made a mistake because they put it in the teens section when it should have been in Sci Fi or Fantasy.
Now for the proper review. I really liked this book because of the oculist/boarding school/ resident evil themes.
The book had me spellbound and all the characters are marvelously well written and the surroundings seemed quite realistic.
I would be lying if I didn't say that the first thing that made me notice it was the cover art: a boy holding an air rifle outside the school. Bodies hanging from thick silver chains between two lampposts. All that was quite noticeable.
I liked the private school theme, and the school reminded me of my old school, which was a very prestigious private school in Bloomfield Michigan (I think you can guess which one it was,)

Ghostwriting done, finished, complete!
I finished it about an hour before the Oscars, and I have to say congrats Kate Winslet, you finally got that f**king trophy!
Oh and Slumdog Millionaire, that film got me out of a deep rut that was brought on by Ghostwriting (Thanks allot NBC). That film didn't make me cry, but gave me the will to continue Ghostwriting.
I am travelling back to Augusta tonight, so the blog might not be up for a while.

It seems that I am getting noticed
One of the kids said the following, "Hey, don't we know you from school?"
I looked up from my laptop, I was meant to be working but instead I was playing Command and Conquer Red Alert 3. "I highly doubt that you know me, I graduated two years early." Was my answer.
"Really? Well then do you work here or something? Because we see you here every day on our way to school." Asked another one of them.
"I am working, but not at this cafe." I sensed that they weren't going to go easily. "I am a writer and I find it much more easier to work here where I don't have to make my own food."
The three of them laughed and then asked me about how did I become a writer and if I needed to have a college education to become one.
The truth is you don't need a college education to become one, but it helps you become a better writer. I will be attending college this year, but I am not so sure if every other person there will be happy to see somebody who is a year younger than them and is already more advanced.
It seems that this quiet little town of Amherst notices whenever somebody new rolls into town, like Murder, She Wrote.

A writer stuck in a crack, mind the pun
The rock climbing was pretty cool, apart from when I got myself wedged in a small edifice or crack (Yes I'm laughing about the metaphor as well). The whole rock climbing was pretty fun, and it only coast me about $100.
In other news, I have been invited to go canoeing with a girl, who for some reason seems to like me. I had been put off canoeing up until recently because of what happened to that man who they thought was dead, but was really living in Panama.
Must dash, Benita Pussolini is trying to do a belly flop off the kitchen counter. If you think Benita is crazy get this: I have a dog who likes to nibble on your hands, not bite, just have a little nosh.
Ghostwriting almost done
I just have to right about three more chapters and then I'm done with this project and guess what, more ghostwriting!
YAY! *Gritted teeth*
On a lighter not, I am visiting Amherst right now. I think that this will be my future town and I want to get to know it properly before any decisions are made.
I really like Amherst, it has some great bookstores and coffee shops. Also, there are tons of Georgian and Victorian mansions scattered around the place and they have provided me with some inspiration.
At the moment I am sitting in a coffe shop opposite a large park, the sky is a bit cloudy and I see some kids splashing in rain puddles whilst on their way to school.
I think I like this town, it is much cheaper than Augusta.

Ghosts in a spooky Victoarian house, I sense a mystery!
Apparently the ghosts of former residents haunt the house, but only the mothers and the children, figures the father would be a no show.
I remember the ghost in my old house used to interfere with the TV, it was very hard to watch Murder, She wrote.

My future home maybe?
I am disgusted
What the fuck?
This is by far the most disgusting and morally loose story I have ever had the distasteful bad luck to have ever set my sapphire eyes upon. And apparently there is two other boys claiming to be the father, is this a plot line for the young and the restless?
Most likely the funniest Title ever!
I love Murder, She wrote. It's such a pity they aren't making more of them, but I guess it gets a tad repetitive at times.

Novella chapters coming up soon
Just reached the half mark
As I said in a previous blog, I am ghostwriting a book based on a popular and still running television show.

Almost died...but whatever
I was driving through the snow, and out of the snow came a big black thing. I swerved to avoid it and we wound up going about three-feet into a nearby lake.
I hit my head, but apart from that only my ego was bruised.
Oh BTW, if you are wondering what the creature was, lets just say it went "MOOOOOO!"

Benita Pussolini
She is beautiful and pictures will be coming soon, she just has to stay still long enough for me to take the damned picture.
Ghostwriting...
Simple answer: yes I have.
I have been contracted to write a book based on a hit TV series, not telling you which one though, so you will have to guess. The book is meant to be around 350 pages, the bad thing about ghostwriting is that you have a page quota.
I have started writing the beginnings of an opening chapter, and I bought the DVD to give me an insight into the series.
I don't mind the fact that I am getting no credit. But I would be lying if I told you it wasn't for the cold hard cash.
Have I sold out and became a literary whore?

Murder she wrote
But if armature sleuths really did exist we would be in big trouble. They would be treated as a pariah because it wouldn't be long before somebody drops down dead and the case will begin!
I have digested five Nancy Drew books and I have to say that I like them, but the no murder thing really is a bummer.
